The probe rapidly approaches the point of no return-- while we have successfully gotten the creature to drop objects it's held in its mouth, we have thus far been unsuccessful in recovering anything it has swallowed. We are sure that the creature must be capable of regurgitating anything it has consumed, as this is an important safety mechanism in complex animals, but we have so far been unable to induce vomiting.

The view at this point is considerably chilling, considering how many of our peers have seen this for themselves-- the monster consumed dozens at the laboratory she was being contained at after she was first located, in the middle of the mutation process, in the Montana Rockies. For so many of them-- and who can tell how many others?-- this was one of the last things they saw before suffocating and dissolving in its stomach.

The sight fills us all with horror, as well as a eerie curiosity, to know what they knew, what they experienced, in their final moments. The common, morbid curiosity of humanity...
