Spectacular Spectacular!

So, um, yeah. It's been a party at my house. Please visit [link] for all the horrible details. Essentially, ~RhineGold, my mother and I spent about three hours trying to keep the house from flooding out. Well, 15 minutes trying to cut the water off to the toilet, and almost 3 hours trying to clean up the water that had run out all over the house.

She has all sorts of photos over there of the damage. Everything's back in order now, except for the cabinet, which will need some minor repair work before we try and hoist it back up onto its bracket. We're probably going to just wait until my dad gets back to simply bolt the whole thing into the wall joists. That should keep it from falling again.

Everyone is okay, though, and not injured. We're damp, though, and coming down off of adrenaline highs. I was scared half-to-death that either Manda got hurt or that Sabrina, our cat, was crushed under the cabinet or some other piece of debris. I honestly couldn't drive fast enough from campus, at least, that's what it felt like sitting in my car.

We're all just glad it's over. We'll definitely have a fun story for my dad when he gets home from his business trip...

On an entirely unrelated note, I'm visiting a synagogue tomorrow. On Passover. I completely didn't realize what date it was, but hey, what better time to go talk to a rabbi about Judaism? It makes sense to me at least, in retrospect.

Currently working on...:

Requests are open! If there's anything you'd like me to draw, let me know here or post a message on my forum (it's to your right when you look at my journal.) I love doing requests, and I try to tackle everyone's. I have a forum thread open for suggestions, as well, so post stuff there, too!

I also do commissions, for a pretty fair price. Send me a note for details, and to get an estimate for what your work will cost. I usually charge $10-15 for black and white art, depending on the complexity. Pencil drawings cost less, and full-color art costs more. I can do a variety of different things (drawings, watercolor, poster designs, graphic designs, small books and so on.) so feel free to ask about something unusual.

Also, donations are always appreciated - they help pay for medication for me and :iconrhinegold:, as well as gas to get to and fro. If interested, please note me and I will let you know what to do.

Brandon: What are you doing this Friday?
Christian: Sitting by the shores of Babylon, weeping for Jerusalem, which is lost. Why?

You know, if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had arrived, things would have gotten taken care of much more quickly, and more awesomely.
